Physical protection devices with different openings (holes) shall be at a sufficient distance from hazardous zones of machinery. A certain distance between the moving parts of the machinery and the protective devices must be observed. According to EN ISO 13857 standart, depending on the holes in the protective devices, the safe distance is determined as follows:
